Semi Skilled Operative

Job purpose

Work within the Vesuvius Bag Plant carrying out duties to manufacture bags, PURs and spraying to corset bags.

Main duties 

• Understanding of engineering drawings and tooling.
• Loading and unloading mandrels/tooling pre and post heating within electric
  ovens contained in the area
• Identify components as per customer requirements
• Spraying of bags using fibreglass solution , loading and unloading of bags
  before and after this process
• Operating ovens and handling of hot works during the manufacturing process
• Assemble PUR moulds and trim and demould after curing
• Trim and measure up of bags for shipping and then subsequent packing of
  boxes and drums as per customer requirements
• Ensure all relevant documentation is carried and completed correctly
• Loading boxes drums for shipping
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure activities are achieved

Schedule: 38 Hours, Monday-Thursday 7.25-15.55 and Friday- 7.25 - 13.25
